Finally! There's a chill in the air, and you can start to smell Autumn. This past September was hot. I do not care for summer weather, so this was very displeasing. Now it is officially chilly. I can wear heavier clothes again! Yay!
I am prone to more modest clothing(except around the house.) I occasionally may show some cleavage if Husband and I are out on a date(I want him to see the goods and know I'll put out so he won't be mad when I order the most expensive thing on the menu. Hehehehehe!) My day-to-day shirts consist of some of my favorite band tshirts when I'm sticking around the house or going to the corner store, and these cute 3/4 sleeve shirts of various varieties. My favorite shirts are all long-sleeved, but mostly are worn on special occasions as they are a nice material or have a bunch of doodads on them. I do not wear pants, and all my skirts are ankle length, at the least. I prefer floor-length skirts, with a little bit of a train in the back.
Yep. They get super dirty! However, they are mostly in dark colors, so the street-filth doesn't show up. I do not wash them with other clothes though. There is a special skirt load that gets washed. Husband's foulest socks and dirtiest pants(like after he's worked on the car) end up in that load as well. It's pretty much just a load of foulness. The water is opaque, and I often give them two washings.
Anyway, long skirts and/or long-sleeved shirts are not pleasant in the heat. This new chill has been awesome. I've even been able to wear my favorite jacket at night. Scree for cold weather. I can't wait for it to start raining. I hope we get snow here, or nearby, this year. I'd really like to be able to use my muff and gloves. You never see anyone wearing them, and it's so cute. Soft too.
I have no idea what I'm going to do on Halloween though. I should have planned better and tried to throw a party or something. Our little home is very good for entertaining. Maybe I can see if others are out in the cold too and we could have a little dinner party. I do enjoy having people over for dinner. A few people are quite broke this year, so maybe they would feel comfortable with a smaller shindig than something huge and requiring a lot of food/booze to be brought.
Hmmm. Maybe I should make some phone calls.
I wish we had a fireplace.
